Jupiter Retrograde – Vibrations, Abundance & Wisdom
This month we are being gifted with 3 retrogrades. Jupiter on the 10th, Pluto on the 24th and Saturn on the 30th. Today we are going to talk about Jupiter’s retrograde. This retrograde will continue until August 11th.
Jupiter brings the energy of abundance, knowledge, good fortune, luck and wisdom. It is a planet that challenges us to align ourselves to themes like compassion, generosity and perspective. Traditionally speaking (before telescopes), Jupiter was ruled by both Sagittarius and Pisces. However once the discovery of additional planets Uranus, Pluto and Neptune, it was decided that Jupiter is now ruled by Sagittarius. Jupiter also naturally rules the 9th and 12th houses. If we look at these traditional signs in regards to Jupiter and the houses it rules, all 4 are heavily influenced by spirituality.
This retrograde will challenge us to be our own teacher and seek the unknown. A need to expand our consciousness and taking leaps of faith. Jupiter also has no boundaries as it is ruled by mutable signs. That being said, be aware of the leaps of faith you’re taking! Taking risks is necessary in order to get us out of our comfort zone; however ensure you have a plan for in case you fall. Being careful does not mean hold yourself back from moving forward, it means moving forward with precaution.
Jupiter is trine to Uranus currently. This energy is very 4D-like and will have us thinking about alternative ways of living. Uranus is currently in Taurus, so I am expecting to see alternative ways of living that allows us to be closer to the earth. I’m expecting to see more young families moving out of the city, people growing more of their own food and really getting back to simplicity as much as possible. Jupiter is also squared to Mercury and Neptune which are both in Pisces. This supports the 4D-like energy we will be feeling. Jupiter gives us the push to feel invincible, optimistic and open to opportunities. The Pisces influence of this will include being more present in the moment where the past and future don’t exist. Mercury gives us the push of imagination, creativity and the need to look for answers.
This energy can all be very overwhelming as there is a lot going on. Jupiter has a tendency to expand and magnify what is happening currently in our life; this can be for the better or the worse depending on how you choose to look at it. In these moments, I believe it’s best to follow the Sagittarius energy and look at the bigger picture, look at and expect bigger opportunities for yourself. If you feel like you’re asking for too much, remember that the universe will always let you know when this happens! When something magnifies and expands in your life during this 4 month retrograde, ask yourself: what is this trying to teach me? Does this new abundance align to my intentions? When we pause and reflect by sitting with ourselves, we can create our own conclusions.
Jupiter in Sagittarius is also all about your truth. With it being squared to Neptune and Mercury in Pisces, the shadow side to this is asking a lot of questions and even questioning our intuition. What is true? Can I trust this person? Can I trust that this situation will play out in my favour? Whenever these sort of questions come up, take a step back. Remember the energy of Sagittarius and avoid looking at the fine details. Looking at the bigger picture of the situation will give you the clarity and truth you seek.
Lastly, this Jupiter retrograde is all about vibrations. Vibrations is such a crucial element and will continue to be so as things pick up in the upcoming years. Where are you on the frequency scale? Your actions and words can affect and lower your frequency, yes. Your thought process however, will do the most damage to your frequency. Every cell in your body is eavesdropping on your thoughts! When we remember that life is happening For us not to us, we are able to tap into this gift of energy provided by Jupiter.
