Lunar Eclipse in Cancer
Nothing shakes up a new decade like eclipse season! Today’s event is something special and one we will remember. This full moon in Cancer isn’t only just a lunar eclipse, but the first of four Cancer moons we will see this year.
Taking place on January 10th at 2:21PM EST, this full moon is going to allow us to resolve personal deep issues and exhale from all the shadow work we’ve completed. Another eclipse season, another cycle of karmic patterns coming to an end (or climax!).
As Above, So Below
The moon will be opposite to Mercury, Saturn and Pluto in the 2nd house. This aspect can bring the fear that our long term goals will not serve us and be stable enough to come to fruition. This will be felt throughout the collective. You may be feeling some self doubt in the future plans you have for this year, or potentially unsure of those who are within your tribe.
The moon will also be trine to Neptune and will allow us to have some vivid dreams. With this trine, we will have a lot of “what if” potential moments in our mind, having us think of all the ways our plan could go wrong. This way of thinking can actually have us self sabotage our own plan - your words are your wand!
Try to create balance between the power and control you have on the outcome. Reset your mindset with a cleanse to the third eye and crown chakra. Allow yourself to see your vision for what it truly is!
Venus squares Mars at this time while she sits pretty in the 10th house, Mars in the 6th. We’re not really wanting to commit to ourselves or to any kinships at this time. We could be pushing away people and opportunities. There’s again, that fear of not being good enough creeping in - our ego. Whatever opportunities or abundance comes our way, is meant for us in this moment. Take the apple, and bite!
Jupiter trines Uranus which will influence us to shift our thinking of how we see the world and our overall purpose in life. A lot of people will be switching into spiritual practices now as they’re feeling helpless and perhaps even trying to “surrender”. Jupiter will also be opposite to the North node which will have some of us feeling stubborn to the changes we know we need to make.
Despite these changes being painful, it’s necessary. Focus more on balance in terms of how Much change is truly needed and don’t go cold turkey on everything. This change that is coming is connected to the bigger picture! We cannot see it yet, but it’s coming.
Pluto squares Uranus and conjuncts Saturn at this time, while sitting in the 8th house; its home! For those of us who were being reckless (or maybe know those who have been) with their money or with other people, will be feeling the karmic cycle now. And if you’re not sure you make this category, hang in tightly! Spirit will let you know. You can overcome these cycles, by honouring your boundaries and staying disciplined. Acknowledge what has happened, reflect and make a plan for the next time, forgive yourself, cleanse with a nice bath and release. Let it go, let it flow.
